N't cards
Lead Graffiti N’t cards start with a dictionary definition and twist it backwards for fun. Below is the text for each of the cards.
ailmen’t 1: not ailing, feeling much, much better 2: finally getting out of bed to smell the flowers, skip around the block, say hello to the neighbors and dine on anything other than chicken noodle soup 3: promising oneself never to complain about traffic or waiting in line or the girl behind the check-out counter because you don’t have to sleep with a bucket beside the bed
ancien’t 1: not old, in fact, feeling younger with every single birthday 2: getting stronger, wiser and spunkier with every year gone by and every candle added to the cake 3: wearing the fountain of youth as if it were the latest greatest accessory 4: staring age in the face and shouting “Oh, no, you don’t!”
expectan’t 1: not expecting, living the dream that is finally parenthood! 2: The act of going from great anticipation to being a real-life Ma Ma and Da Da 3: diving whole-heartedly into the world of poopy diapers, permissible public burping and rocking the nights away with a front row seat to beddy bye 4: deserving of good cheer and the will to bite your tongue after endless streams of unsolicited advice from people in line at the grocery store
distan’t 1: not at all distant, seemingly close 2: staying connected despite the miles in between 3: letting someone know you miss them, letting someone know you love them, letting someone know you’ve made their favorite recipe, letting someone know they’ll still never beat your record 4: just letting someone know they’re never far from your heart
Expectan’t cards can be used for newborn announcements. Ancien’t serves as an excellent birthday card, with Ailmen’t for get well sentiments, and Distan’t for wishing-you-were-here thoughts.
Printed slowly & patiently via letterpress on Crane Lettra, these A2 cards (4 1/8" x 5 1/2") are blank inside and come with a matching envelope. Cards are available individually in a clear sleeve or in a Lead Graffiti boxed set of 8 cards (same design).
